Bright Red Revision who are a new company and do higher books now that are very good are releasing books for core advanced higher subjects (so I assume maths would be one) by winter 2009.

Look up the Maths in Action series, one book per unit.

They got publishing rights over leckie and leckie to do past papers, but they are also releasing revision guides for core advanced higher subjects.

Many thanks for your e-mail, and for your interest in Bright Red. We do
indeed intend to publish materials to support the core Advanced Higher
subjects although not until later this year. We are currently talking
with Young Scot about arranging a discount and hope to have that up and
running soon - watch this space!
Go to your school and ask for some old scholar books. They are very good in my opinion.

I don't like maths in action at all really.

Is this a good substitute then? Using English books instead?
I have no idea of A - Level which includes AS and A2 Levels is equal to Adv Higher Maths..

Any dangers in this?

Probably not a good idea, though some areas will be broadly similar there is likely to be significant differences.

Oh and look at what CJN said, they're coming out this year.

Bad idea IMO, so far loads of people must have managed without books for AH, but used books for higher so it can't be too bad.
