hi,

when i want to wake up early in the morning, i drink coffee before going to bed.

if i manage to fall asleep before caffeine kicks in to my body, i will wake up after about 4 hours and not feel tired at all.

does anyone know how my habbit will f**k up my body ???

Five years of sleep deprivation and excessive consumption of coffee took their toll on me. I ended up feeling really irritable, couldn't sleep proper hours. Trust me, it's not something to play around with. I used to find it cool that I could last all week with only 3 or 4 hours sleep every night (and I'm a big sleeper! I usually need about 9 hours) just by drinking loads of coffee. Now when I have it, I get all stressed out.

i'm not a coffee fan, but yeah i think drinking too much caffeine can mess up your body clock and you can become physically addicted to it i believe(may be physcological though - sorry not sure) which makes the cycle even worse.

i know that there is a pharm company researching the use of stimulants and hypnotics for soldiers who have disturbed rest periods when on a mission..

they give caffiene combined with a hypnotic that works faster so the subject will fall asleep then when they wake up, they are more alert due to the caffeine...

i wouldn't suggest this, its clinically controlled and whatnot.. and you should try to avoid developing a dependance on caffeine... having said that, i've been guilty of popping pro plus after a heavy night...

there was a massive article in national geographic magazine recently about coffee's effects (long term).

I drink it occasionally, say twice a week.
I use coffee, by rubbing coffee all over my lovers body and double whipped cream and licking it off.

actually... used coffee grounds are apparantly a good anticellulite scrub...

and a good fertilizer for acid loving plants...
Damn, I saw this topic and came in to make an equally witty comment.

But no - I won't bother now!

its true... if you drink caffeine you're more prone to getting cellulite cos of the way it affects your fat storage mechanisms...

if you use it as a body scrub, the caffeine acts in a different way and apparantly helps reduce the appearance of cellulite..
I was told that if you have caffine before exercise - you burn off more fat?
