    can anyone tell me what conclusions can be drawn from deep inelastic scattering experiments?

    Conclusions:

    1) There are particles smaller then the fundamental particles (i.e. protons, and neutrons and electrons) called quarks.
    2) These quarks are located and make up the neutrons in the nucleus.
