hey,

why are south facing slopes warmer in the northern hemisphere? in the book it states they are exposed to more sunlight, but i dont really understand why? i.e why are north facing slopes not exposed to more sunlight?

because in the northern hemisphere the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, with more of an angle to the south, so the sun never has an angle from the north, so doesnt expose north facing slopes to light
