Hey girls and guys!

At the moment i have shoulder length hair which makes my face look really long, it looks lanky and just horrid! So i've decided to have have it cut and was thinking of going for a Frankie from The Saturdays look. I just LOVE her hair, i think it looks stylish and easy to maintain. Do you think this would suit me? There is a picture on my profile, if you need another one just let me know.

Oh and i was gonna have my hair coloured too but the hairdressers said there all booked up so i'm thinking about buying a hair colour from Boots, i'm looking for a dark chocolate brown - any ideas/reccomendations?

Now to the make-up! Ok so i've always loved the whole smokey eye look but have no idea how to create it, i've bought some eye liner, a trio set of smokey colour eye shadows and obviously i have all the other necessities (mascara, foundation . . . )

I'm really looking forward to having a style revamp so any other ideas are welcome.

Fliss x

Hair - i think it would sort you. Make sure the hairdresser puts lots of layers in your hair and feathers/thins it out so it doesn't get too think and gives it some shape.

Hair dye. I recommend Garnier but personally I would say wait until the hairdresser has some time and get it done professionally incase it goes wrong!! If you do do it yourself don't buy cheapo hair dye, but don't bye it too expensive. Remember to do a skin test incase you are allergic to it.

Make-up, have a look at some youtube videos =]

Hope this helps =]

Looks really nice =]
make sure to get a nice conditioner to get a nice soft look. Ooh a good idea if you want it to be easy to maintain is to use a straightening balm when drying your hair as it helps to blow dry your hair straight and gives it a nice smooth look without using too much product and making hair greasy =]

I use Loreal creme hair dye. Its only semi permanent but is really really good, also generally I find it sort of wears off just before you get any bad roots which is nice. It doesn't make your hair dry and horrible at all and they have lots of nice colours as well.

I have nothing to say about the hair cut/make up advice as I am crap at make up and am the sort of person who has to post threads asking about haircits myself.

I love Frankie's hairstyle in that picture, I want mine like that! As for hair dye recs, I always use Castings and I think its probably one of the best hair dyes you can get. I've used the shade 'dark chocolate' before and its a nice sort of warm toned, dark chocolately brown.

I've heard that Boots Botanics dye in Bitter Chocolate is meant to be good too, if you want more of a cooler toned brown.

Thanks everyone! Kris, i've heard the castings hair dye is good too so i might try that.
I've never had a side fringe/fringe before do you think it would get on my nerves - will it keep sweeping in front of my eyes? Sorry for all the questions! x

I have a side fringe, and used to have a full fringe. It can get a bit annoying sometimes if you're doing some work and constantly looking down it can get in way, but most of the time it's fine. and if you want to keep it out of the way if you know you are constantly going to be looking down (btw this is about side fringes lol) get some cute litle grips from monsoon/accessorize or somewhere to hold it back. With a full fringe they don't generally get in the way, I guess if you have it long it could do, but as long as a full fringe is feathered it doesn't really cause hassle, and once again you can just pin it back =]

Anywho you might like it getting in your eyes, gives a mysterious look =P
