who am I to say?
All different people fall in love in different ways. What one of us calls love, another might not. It's such a personal thing, and very hard to lable

Hmm, I was talking to a girl for about a year online, then we spoke, and met, It didn't work though..

I still think about her :frown:

well I can say I love the personalities that come through reading different posts or on MSN, and perhaps it may lead to meeting.

But ultimatly its my opinion that you cannot 'love' someone you talk to on the net, in the same way that you love a friend or family member. After all you are only reading text and looking at pictures, you don't get to see the gestures or the habits or even the plain freakyness of the other person :P, its these little things that set 'virtual' friends and real friends apart.

as nice as it sounds in a perfect world sometimes we make up half of the things we believe about a person in order to make an image of perfcetion in our heads - so it may not work when you really meet a person. but id rather be optimistic!!
It's kinda like reading a book, eg bridget jones was much different to read than watch the film as you conjure up images in your mind and this may cause a problem of disappointment when meeting someone in the flesh after chatting online for a long time

What is love? That is the question.

As most people have said, it's highly unlikely that any feelings felt towards an internet friend is the "real" love that we may feel when we meet someone in person etc. But it's a very subjective thing; so you can't rule out internet love. However, I know that most people (including me) wouldn't be able to fall in love wiht someone over the internet. So as a general "majority decides" type of answer, there is no such thing as internet love.

u cud be in love witht he idea of being love with them

Reply 16

I personally don't think I could fall in love online without ever meeting them. I suppose there's no reason why you couldn't if you think love is purely emotional. But I think there's something physical in it too.
