Last week i had all these plans for revision through the half term, i was going to revise for so many hours each day etc.
But now we're almost half way through and i've done hardly anything.
i just dont seem to be able to motivate myself, i get to my revision books and have everything ready (pens paper ), open to the page needed, and it just doesn't seem to sink in.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Just think about the results you want, about the job, university you want to go to. That works for me.

Think about the long holidays ahead....it makes me motivated just by thinking that i got long holidays ahead to do whatever i want....so let me just work when i have to...only 2 weeks left till last exam....so really only 2 week of torture...

The best advice I can give you is do your revision bit by bit, not in massive chunks.
That is such a bad way to learn, trust me! Been there done that...
Make yourself a time table, i find it so helpful.
As for the motivating factor, just think come results day, you don't want to be crying and saying to yourself, ' I wish I tried harder' You want to be able to do the subjects that you want to study come September, not the ones you don't want to do, and are doing because you didn't get the grades.
Good Luck!

You will get your grades, as long as you revise. Saying that, there are some brainiacs out there, who are just naturally clever grr.
Try not to worry yourself, though

tbh, you might get an A in Physics so your grades just aren't good enough.

Sit back, relax and laissez les bons temps rouler... In other words, try to enjoy your GCSE revision while you can and thank your lucky stars you're not revising for A/AS Levels yet. That's not very motivational though is it?

Think about the dark cloud that will attach itself to you all summer if you KNOW you've underperfomed in your exams. And it's raining outside, there's not really anything much better to do than revise. (Or waste time on TSR or facebook, whatever).

This is probably the least useful post I've ever made. Oh well

PLEASE
If you insist :awesome:

Sorry if it is a bit of overkill, but that should keep us good and motivated.
