Difference between conduct and performance? Watch

For example, there is a question:

"Evaluate the view that separation of ownership from control has an adverse effect on firms' conduct AND performance"

And im struggling to work out what the differnece is really...

I'd take conduct to mean behaviour - the way they treat their employees, the way they do business, things like that. Performance on the other hand would be 'hard' indicators of the firm's success of failure such as revenue, profits e.t.c.

just think of it like this:



market structure affects firm's conduct which affects its performance - profit levels etc
