All I know is that I'm not going Lakeside.

Are all the rest the very same price per week? Whatever it was, £68 something or whatever.

I have got lost with all the other accomodation.

Help!

Sorry to bump this thread again but I need to rejog my memory about Stafford, Lawrence and Dalton. Just the basic things such as one of them not having a shower? Location etc Just the different things to be aware of that can influence.

I think all of them have showers. Some have a bath I think. Dalton is the one opposite the library, Lawrence is opposite Dalton and Stafford is opposite Lakeside.

I don't think you get a choice- you tick standard and then they allocate you somewhere.

Oh ok I see. So how come lots of people on this forum were debating which one to go in, if they don't have a choice? Unless they didn't know they didn't have a choice I guess?

Dunno! I think a lot of people pick where they live just cos they enjoyed it.

As Vikki said, you don't get a choice unless they've changed the form. You just tick standard.

You can write it in the additional notes section which tower you'd like.
To clarify:

Lawrence has 2 showers with no divider between them.
Dalton has a bath with a shower head.
Stafford has 2 showers which are apart from each other, as well as the bath and shower head on each side of the flat. They may or may not be warm depending on your floor.

If I go for Stafford in additional notes bit, do you think it's likely I'll get it?

Difficult to say really because they can't cater for everyone's needs.

So does getting your aplication in early make any difference then? Basically all before the deadline then insurances...clearing etc?

Apparently no. My friend went through clearing and got into Lakeside.

I just submitted my application, I was Application number 2067 out of 2117 places! I probably won't even get into Stafford now.

Just wondering on what grounds they can reject your application (as I saw that option at the end)?
Also am I guaranteed standard accom? Because I don't want Lakeside but obviously put it down as 2nd choice, I just hope those remaining 50 pllaces aren't in Lakeside or something.

You might. Nobody really knows tbh.

I don't know exactly but I'm guessing if they say "guaranteed accom if you firm Aston" it means anything. I'm pretty sure though that the 50 places won't be Lakeside because of the high demand for it.

Any idea at all when I hear back about what accom I'm in?

Has anyone heard back anything yet?
