Need for a Foreskin?

In the USA it is commonplace to circumsize babies at an early age for hygiene reasons. However in the UK, it is only done for medical reasons most of the time.

I'm just wondering if there is a need for a foreskin, therefore should it be removed for hygiene reasons, or is it just a unneeded operation?

Erm, i'm English, and i got circumsized. There was minor medical reasons, though not urgent, and it seemed the necessary thing to do.

what the foreskin really does, i'm not entirely sure, and there is clearly no 'need' for it.

I once saw one American woman on TV say "isn't it just a flap?" haha

I heard that the foreskin was there to protect the nerves of the head of the penis. Therefore if you have a foreskin, they are more sensitive, and sex becomes more sensual.

If you don't have a foreskin, the penis head rubs against clothes etc. and over the years the nerves loose their sensitivity.

It's more hygienic to be circumcised - but then (this is going to sound really shallow) - when it comes to giving head I prefer a man to be uncircumcised.

none of my partners have been circumcised...

That tendency is changing. There are now pressure groups of men who claim to have had their foreskin stolen, and thus their feelings down there were somewhat hindered.
I still have mine, need it to keep the cheese in place.

Some people have tight foreskin too, which is why they get circumsized...

That was why i got circumsized, the flow was not healthy.

I could have done with it, but it would have taken me hours to take a pee haha (well... not hours exactly, depends what i'd been drinking)

No I mean for oral sex. A circumcised/uncircumcised penis makes quite a difference.

well none of my partners have been circumcised, so i wouldn't know...

cosmopolitan says that 'excess' foreskin can be a help to intercourse as the skins ability to 'slide' means it can act as a sort of lubricator, if you're not wet enough..... just thought i'd share...

well, i think that if i asked men whther or not they were circumcised before i considered sleeping with them, it wouldn't be the best way to go... :p:
