Installed it a few days ago, make you all run 'compcln.exe' tool so it deletes old files (related to SP1 that are now not needed)
Windows key + R > compcln.exe > y

that was quick for sp2 to come out.

MS says it has some "under the hood" improvements so i think that means performance issues.

Update everyone who so happens to have got suckered by MS into this crappy OS.

I did install the Windows 7 Beta a couple of months ago, i had to get that off my PC it was terrible IMO. Way too many glitches for my liking, hopefully the proper Windows 7 release next year will be alot better. Oh, i installed the Vista SP2 the other day and i haven't noticed anything different yet.

I'd like to label this release as yet another cluster ****.

Killed my laptop. Killed my mates E-box (he got it bad he had to reformat) and it killed all some the vista computers at work :rofl2:

Good love SP2 :yy:

I don't like using beta editions, I had some bad experiences with Vista, so I'm just going to wait for it to go retail.
What do you think of Windows 7 OS? Is it worth getting?

Yeah, it's worth getting, definitely. It's a lot more streamlined than Vista; the kernel has been whittled down to a memory footprint of about 300MB. Plus, the interface has finaly matured to what it should have been in the first place.

:yep:

Win7 RC1 is stable and intuative enough to use as your primary OS.

I think your being a bit naive, even xp got a good performance boost from sp3, yet sp2 was very popular.

of course vista isn't perfect, but SP1 has been (or at least for me) very stable and had reasonably good performance (explorer still isn't too keen on shifting big files around, but thats my only complaint).
