Could anyone inform me of the fees and loans/bursary situation when taking a year abroad?

And if any further money is needed on top of money that is covered by the bursary and the grant/loan.

Erasmus and non-Erasmus.

Thanks!!!!

Ok well if your year abroad is within an Erasmus university, then you do not pay UCL fees nor do you pay host university fees.

As for bursaries, I do not know. There is an Erasmus grant available, but it is intended for mobility (i.e. plane fares), so won't be anything much.

I would assume you would still get a maintenence loan from the UK government but I am not positive (I need to check this actually as am hoping to do a year in Spain).

One final thing. I do not know if Russian universities are part of the Erasmus scheme. If they are not, then I have no idea about your situation I'm afraid
