Hey all! Glad to see a flurry of new posts, this place has been inactive for too long! Unfortunately, the lack of an internet connection is partly to blame for my recent inactivity, but that all looks sorted now .

Welcome to yourjoyismylow! This is a great soc :p:. If you know next to nothing about literature and everything about everything else, anyway :p:.

I have lived and worked in the US and I'm very fond of American history and American literature.

I went nuts at the library today, so apart from teaching books, I also got The Cambridge Companion to Sylvia Plath. Looks like a lot of interesting essays.
    Has anyone read it?

    no worries

Anyone find that shorter chapters make a book harder to put down?

Maximum Ride has short chapters and i think, i'll just read one more

The Witching hour - Anne Rice has chapters over 40 pages long and it can seem daunting(sp?)
