    I imagined 'pawned' came from pawn, making someone your pawn, as in chess. Could that be,or am I awfully wrong?
    Anyway, I just bought Brave New World. Has anyone read it?

    Has anyone here read Crash by JG Ballard?
    I just started it and, like with all of his stuff, I'm having a hard time getting into it. It normally pays off though.

    My mum put this question to me the other day actually: the meaning of 'owned' and 'pwned'. I'm not sure my explanation was sufficiant though. Too much "you know...owned!" for her liking

    When you are of a society it get's added to your society list, which appears as a link next to your gems on your posts(the link isn't there when you aren't a member of any societies)
