hmm i applied for psych

york-abb
notts-abb
bath-aab(thou appara i was special and most people got aaa
manch-abb
exeter-aab(was supposed to be my insurance damn them!)

have now swapped to politics as realised psych degree is pretty much destined to lead to teaching. also has low after graduate employment rates, basically if you want to become an actual psychologist you will have to do a second degree and work experience and even then will generally be looked down on where ever you work-psychs are barely above nurses in hospital hierachy.

and the pay is crap.

sorry if that sounds depressing but friends who are doing psych are enjoying it but say it isnt like a-level and has quite a lot of statistics and science elements

hmm.

If you get the chance to specialise then do something like Criminology as you can get jobs advising the police force (i'm sure you must have seen detective programs with them on). I think people with degrees into psychology tend to have varying jobs - you can go into all sorts.
