Oxfords rated highest, then Cambridge/Bristol. I'm not sure if Cambridge do a pure geology course though?

Leeds is meant to have a very employable course aswell, couple of mates doing it in Manchester, don't seem to be overly enjoying it....

Durhams not that great for it, and from what I hear the course is boring as.

Just finished GL3, and GL1, now sitting in college computer room waiting for bus

I found the exam wasn't too bad, not the questions I wanted but still do-able.

Found gl1 much harder than gl3, don't know about anyone else who did it...

But yeh, could have been much worse.

Ahh, I found it the other way round! I thought gl1 was good, but didn't really like gl3. Especially that Aberfan question And I wrote some load of rubbish about rocks being good aquifers for the last bit. Oh welllll!

Because it's a complex and at times extremely confusing topic, although you would likely get taught by Andy Saunders, and that isn't a bad thing...

I dont know of him specifically through research - in my work I've come across the work of Sparks' group at cambridge in the late 90's more recently (also, my supervisor was David Pyle, so that helps a lot with having someone so highly recognised to ask information of).

Still - glad to be finished and going on to earn a wage.

    Hello!
Is there a lot of maths in geology?

Annoyingly so, there's a lot of chemistry too, and physics, and some biology.

    It's reet fun....
