I live close to Northampton, and in all honesty and in my opinion. Northampton as a town is ok, but the 'University College of Northampton' is crap for a whole load of reasons.

But this may not be the case, as it does vary from course to course.

Okie, just a quick question,
Whats Northampton like? Thinking about going there to do my degree in Mental Health Nursing. All comments/suggestions welcome. Or if anybody went there for a day visit, blah blah blah.
Thanks girls n boys.

A friend of mine goes to Northampton - she likes it 'cause she's met nice people, but she thinks the university is rubbish. Sorry!

Northampton does not have a university but it does have a higher education college which can award its own degrees. I believe Northampton have applied for full university status.

As far as I know Northampton isn't currently in possession of a university, however I'm pretty sure there's a HE college nearby which is able to award its own degrees. I think Northampton should have its own university status soon.
I know a few people that go there, I wouldn't really recommend it though, there are plenty of better places to go imo.

But as a town it aint too bad, fairly wide variety of shops, all the things you'd expect from a small city i'd say. Decentish football team, cinemas, bars, clubs, live music.
