Shy guys

ok guys explain yourselves. us women, people like myself and lozza are confused by your behavior. we also find it difficult to communicate with you we cannot tell if you like us and are shy , or are not interested. when women like us make moves on shy guys, and they dont do it back we cant tell if it is because they are shy. so c'mon, explain yourselves. what do you want us to do to make you less shy?

and women, what do you think of shy guys? what do you do about it?

please men, have some confidence!

I just need to get comfortable with people, in general. Once I'm more relaxed talking to someone, I'm less shy. Obviously.

i have no time for shy guys. i mean, at first maybe it's kinda sweet but after a while it's just plain annoying and highly unneccessary. You have balls, pick em up.

I agree with that, the guy I'm dating is way too shy and its not endearing now its just bloody annoying.

hehe - some guys just aren't good at talking to girls, even if they know exactly what they want to say and how they want to say it. it just doesn't come out properly. even me - a self-confessed shy guy - don't know why.

Shyness can be endearing at first, but it depends on how it manifests in a person. If someone doesn't look at you and wont talk to you when you try and talk to them, then I kind of assume they're being rude/aren't interested. If I'm feeling shy around a man I giggle a bit (which is embarrassing but it just comes out without asking) and blush a bit but I smile and talk as well. If you're trying to talk to someone and they give one word answers it's really annoying - you try so hard to talk and it's tiring. But then afterwards people tell you that he really liked you - so why didn't he talk to me? :frown:

So yeah, shyness is sweet when you first meet someone, as long as they can have the courage to smile/talk (I'm really not that scary)

I can just about cope with shy... but when that converts to frigidness...grrr. :mad:

I once dated this shy guy who had liked me for a yr then he was too shy to even hold my hand or kiss... I mean wtf?!?!?!?!?!?! Then he was suprised and upset when I told him I didn't think it was working. sigh. :rolleyes:

I like shy guys! I just find it easier to talk to them, maybe cos im shy myself. Usually, once you get to know them and show that they like you they relax around you and can be really funny, sensitive, anything you really want! Its just hard to get to that stage when you're both shy!

I for one will act interested no matter what you say basicly.

More important, I seek eye-contact. But no it won't be easy knowing if a guy likes you or not. Just assume it and act all confused if he doesn't then move on to the next guy :smile:
