Lol, the conversation kinda moved from original but hey...Im bout to do a genetics degree at Notts Uni and want to do law afterwards, im really not sure wich is the best way to go about it, im basically clueless. Any ideas?
I did my CPE at City - it was the cheapest and very good - it was very oxbridge though. The lecturers were excellent and most people go on to the bar. That is what I did. The whole thing is very expensive though and you have to treat the course a bit like a 9-5 job. The trick is securing the training contract or pupillage. It is a good idea to come up with your specialim before you start - environmental law is a good one - also look at planning law.
It is a long hard slog to get to where you want to go. I have just started my own law firm in Fiji - and that is great. Looking to recruit in a year or two if anyone fancies practising in a different and more tropical jurisdiction
