Skin products

I need some recommendations on ranges of skin products I can use, especially moisturiser.

I have quite dry skin so I need a moisturiser which won't flake throughout the day but I am paranoid of getting spots(even though I don't suffer from them much I want a range that contains salicylic acid or something...)....and something that could even out my skin tone.

I've tried Pure Zone and it made my skin crap,as did Clinique so does anyone have any idea of ones I can use?

Oil of Olay sensitive skin moisturiser (the white one) v good and only £3.99! Don't go for any products with tea tree or alcoholic content in, they'll make your skin flake. I use that and Johnson's Ph5.5 cleanser.

It's great to use for a few days if you have an outbreak of spots and oily skin, but continued usage (the alchol and acidic content) dry up your skin loads.

I use a nivea mouisturiser which is light and oil free. It's great for dry skin - yet because it doesn't have oil you don't get oily, then greasy then spotty. xx

best advice i can give to anyone with dry skin is to use aequous cream (you can get it on prescription or from boots). It can be used to both cleanse and moisturise and doesn't contain anything that'll mess up your skin.

I use Oil of Olay - I only use the normal one but if your skin often reacts to products, use sensitive. Although I would say I've found the normal one to be a lot better than the sensitive for my dry skin.

If you're looking for a cleanser, I have tried pretty much all that are going (one of the perks of working at Boots = discount ). Haven't found one better than St Ives yet. I use the blemish control one, but the others are pretty good too.

I've just bought some of that Avene water stuff. I am intrigued to see if it does anything. Will let you know. Lol

The Almay range is really good for dry to very dry skins. Is also good for sensitive skins.

Try Lush as well they do great skin care ranges for all types of skins.

I use a Nivea Lotion which is 'enriched for dry skin'. It makes my face feel really soft, and the added bonus is you can use it all over your body as well.
I use St Ives stuff, it's lush. And simple sometimes as well. I find varying the 2 helps to keep my skin nice  If I stay with just one product, it goes horrible. Strange.
I haven't tried it, but I've heard E45 is good for dry skin. You could even try using something for eczema, depending on how dry your skin is.

I mentioned lush but didn't put a link so thanks
