    I am so confused, what exactly does the product moment co-efficiant mean?? I used the (correl) function in excel to see what the correlation is between two factors and I got the answer 0.695597, what does that exactly mean??

    It means that there is a reasonably strong positive correlation between your two variables. PMCC shows strengths of correlations and also if they are positive (PMCC>0) or negative (PMCC<0).
