In actuality all syllables are stressed equally in Japanese so it's not tou-fu. It's to-fu.
I can see how you could've thought it was tou-fu though, it's alright.
:yep:
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
It's とうふ not とふ .

It's とうふ not とふ .
Like I said before all syllables are stressed EQUALLY in Japanese, so even if it is written とうふ it's not pronounced that way.

Think you're badass with yo' hiragana? I can play it too.

バカじゃないよ.

How does what you're saying even make sense?

Also, I've never said that TOF-FU is right, I said TO-FU.

OK alright バカ, maybe we just got confused by trying to represent the pronounciation using letters.

Omg it’s not mandarin it’s Japanese in origin and it’s the second one. I have been vegan for 20 years we see toe-fu people as the hipster vegan for a year type cos it’s fashionable. Please just stop. Chav you 😂 chavs would call it toe-fu cos they know nothing about the history of it and that’s what ‘everyone else calls it’

it’s the second one.
And yet the dictionaries are unanimously against you:
