hi im stuck on this
given that |z-5|=|z-2-3i| show on an argand diagram the locus of points which represents z

i thought this was a circle radius 5 centre 2,3 but think this is wrong cos then the next bit doesnt work

show that there is no value satisfiying both |z-5|=|z-2-3i| and arg z=pi/4

The locus is the perpendicular bisector of the line joining (5,0) and (2,3). Find the equation of this line. Then the half line argz = pi/4 has cartesian form y=x for x>0. Try and solve this and the cartesian form of the line you get from the first part and you should find that they're parallel or the solution is at x<0 which doesn't lie on the line argz = pi/4.
