0.6 -0.3 = A
2 -1

Find the determinant of A.

What does the answer tell you about the matrix A?

2 4 = B
3 8

What answer would you get if you multiplied B by its inverse B^-1?

would be V grateful if anyone knows the answers to these.

detA = (0.6 * -1) - (-0.3 * 2) = 0

So matrix A is invertible (i.e. it has no inverse).

For your second question, you get the identity matrix:
1 0
0 1
0
