Who else can't wait to finish education and start earning?

The past few years I've just been really impatient and having been counting down the days for education to finally be over (still have another 4 years to go) so that I can finally stop learning and studying boring stuff and finally get a degree level job and start a career so that I can earn. Does anybody feel the same? Like I'm just hating this period of time where it's just studying and exams just so I can prove to universities I'm good enough to be accepted for their courses. Also, I come from a middle-class lifestyle which just isn't enough for me...I just cannot wait to get a good degree and start earning so that my lifestyle can finally improve.

Unfortunately, I'm looking so far ahead and due to me just counting down the days, it's making this time even worse than it has to be. Many are saying because I want this time to go by even faster it'll feel even slower and also that I'm missing out on all the 'fun' times of being a student. So, who else is in a similar position or feels the same way?

Well yeah, I'm looking forward to being in a real job and earning proper money but you know, I enjoy my life as it is now, too :smile:

I used to think that but I realised we get amazing holidays(compared to what we will have), free periods, friends, most days are laid back and I wouldn't swap all that for more money better to just enjoy right now.

I can't wait to leave school but that's because I can't wait for uni, I'll probably do a postgrad degree after uni, I don't really want to have to go into the 'real world' for a while as I'm still not sure what I want to be.

Most, granted not all, won't be saying that in 10-20 years time. These are the best years of our life, no mortgage or family to worry about. Just lots of free time with friends and holidays. Once you hit 25ish you'll probably be in a marriage to one person for the rest of your life with a 9-5 for the rest of your life.

As you can tell I'm not looking forward to it. :rolleyes:
