*shiver* ........Coldplay's 'shiver' is one of those songs. I remember when i first heard it....it's a great one.
Radiohead: Creep used to make the hair on the back of my neck stand on end and sends tingles down my spine (i've heard it too many times though now im immune to it!)

The first time I heard smell like teen spirit I was really moved too

Iris, original, i'm seriously amazed more than one person put that track.
 Iris is an amazing song... but then, I'm a devoted fan (Black Balloon made me shiver too).

    Other songs:
The Verve - Drugs Don't Work
Course of Nature - Caught In The Sun
Linkin Park - In the End
REM - I'll take the rain / Everybody Hurts
    Avril Lavigne - Naked

There's loads more but that's all I can think of at the moment

    Let me in
    Drive
    Country feedback

There is too many to name REM are great at writing those types of songs, but I prefer their older stuff I'm not too keen on their last two albums, up was okay but I don't really like reveal.

I also like the Goo Goo Dolls, I saw them years back when they performed in London. My friend persuaded me to go, and since then i really like their music. Especially 'Slide' and 'Iris'.
Agree with the person who quoted 'creep' (radiohead). 'Nothing compares 2 u' , sinead O' connor; U2 'all i want is you' (featured at the end of Reality Bites)..........though my attachment to songs is significantly dependent on the timing of them in my life/moment....

Yes, it hasn't been the same without Bill Berry (?), their drummer. Cool choice. These are my fav in that order:

    Endgame,
    At My Most beautiful
    Orange Crush
    Whats the Frequency Kenneth

I'm not a Will Young fan at all, but I just heard his new release and THAT made me shiver. Its such a sad song and he sings it with such feeling...I think I'm in love with that song!
Yeah it's pretty good, I must confess!

There has been so many songs that have made me shiver. I am glad to see Simon and Garfunkel listed here, when I got the Old Friends box set a couple of years ago it has been honestly been the best christmas pressent ever. There is just so much good stuff on there. For some reason Buddy Holly's Everday things are getting closer always makes me shiver too its such a great and simple song.

I remember being amazed the first time I ever heared the Boxer by Simon and Garfunkel. How can you mend a broken heart by the Bee Gee's raises my hairs too.

REM's Everybody Hurts has to be mentioned as its such an emotional song. There is far too many to really mention here, the most recent time it happened to me was when I listend to Roy Orbison's Love Hurts.
