Yes that's the one! I couldn't remember the name... that pianno *cries with you too*.

Oooh good song! actually, there are quite a few songs on that album that are really good - like the one with the lyrics "I would die for you, do time for you, beg and steal for you" - I think it's by Garbage. Love it. Such a sexy song!

Thinking about it, there's a version of "Wonderwall" by Oasis that makes me shiver, it's by Ryan (not Bryan, but Ryan!) Adams... the way he sings it, my god! it's all acoustic and beautiful. (Not something I thought I'd ever say about an Oasis song ) I recommend having a nose round Kazaa and finding it! It's well worth a listen

May be predictable, but 3:45 into the aria from Mme Butterfly. That actually makes me shiver every time!

(and most of Tosca because of the memories)

Anything on Jeff Buckley's album-his voice is moving,... haunting-especially ''Hallelujah''.
I agree on that. Leonard Cohen's and John Cale's versions of Hallelujah are very good too.

Other than that, one that comes to mind is Peter Gabriel's Signal to Noise. There are others too, just can't think of any right now.

This one, i doubt many of you have heard it, but there is a vast majority of people who want it as our national anthem.

    WE ARE AUSTRALIAN

I came from the dreamtime from the dusty red soil plains
I am the ancient heart, the keeper of the flame
I stood upon the rocky shore
I watched the tall ships come
For forty thousand years I'd been the first Australian.

    [chorus]
We are one, but we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come
We share a dream and sing with one voice:
I am, you are, we are Australian.

I came upon the prison ship bowed down by iron chains.
I cleared the land, endured the lash and waited for the rains.
    I'm a settler.
I'm a farmer's wife on a dry and barren run
A convict then a free man I became Australian.

    [chorus]
We are one, but we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come
We share a dream and sing with one voice:
I am, you are, we are Australian.

I'm the daughter of a digger who sought the mother lode
The girl became a woman on the long and dusty road
I'm a child of the depression
I saw the good times come
    I'm a bushy, I'm a battler
    I am Australian

    [chorus]
We are one, but we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come
We share a dream and sing with one voice:
I am, you are, we are Australian.

    I'm a teller of stories
    I'm a singer of songs
    I am Albert Namatjira
    I paint the ghostly gums
I am Clancy on his horse
I'm Ned Kelly on the run
I'm the one who waltzed Matilda
    I am Australian

    [chorus]
We are one, but we are many
And from all the lands on earth we come
We share a dream and sing with one voice:
I am, you are, we are Australian.

I'm the hot wind from the desert
I'm the black soil of the plains
I'm the mountains and the valleys
I'm the drought and flooding rains
I am the rock, I am the sky
    The rivers when they run
The spirit of this great land
    I am Australian

The dreamtime is the aboriginie's creation story, right? Emu man and all that. Very cool.

Anyway, I thought of another one:

Eric Martin - I Love The Way You Love Me
" " and Akira Sudou - The Face of Love

Soporific? I forget the meaning of that word...

Oh yes, I love that Hallelujah song as well.

For shiver factor...can't remember who sings it, but "Kissing you" from the Leo di Caprio version of Romeo and Juliet.

    "Colorblind" by Counting Crows.

Oooh, I just thought of some Amazing songs from Musicals that make me go  coz they are so good!

    Musicals:

    Miss Saigon - Bui Doi
Miss Saigon - I'd give my life for you
Miss Saigon - The movie in my mind

Notre Dame de Paris - Le temps de Cathedrale
Notre Dame de Paris - Moon

    Tanz der Vampire - Ouverture
Tanz der Vampire - Fur Sarah

Lion King - Circle of Life (also the Elton John version is quite stunning!)
    Lion King - Shadowland
Lion King - He lives in you

Les Miserables - One day more
Les Miserables - Do you hear the people sing
    Les Miserables - Stars

Blood Brothers - Shoes upon the table (we saw Adam Watkiss playing the Narrator, and he was absolutely superb! He was even better than the guy on the Original London Recording!!)

Jekyll and Hyde - This is the moment

Whistle Down the Wind - A kiss is a terrible thing to waste

and the list continues, but I shall stop now!

If anybody has any other musicals songs that really make the hairs on the back on their neck stand up, then tell us, so we can all enjoy the beauty!

That's the one! I love that, can sing it reasonably myself too

Thundercat - I could go on all day with songs from musicals!

    Musicals:
Miss Saigon - I'd give my life for you

Les Miserables - One day more
Les Miserables - Do you hear the people sing
    Les Miserables - Stars
These ones I agree with - but I love all of Les Mis, so nearly all its songs would be in there (especially "On My Own," and "A Little Fall of Rain.") Also "Last night of the world" from Miss Saigon - I currently sing this as a duet with my sister, but to sing it with someone I loved would make me melt!

    Then there's Jesus Christ Superstar:
    Gethsemane,
    Could we start again please?

    Cats:
Memory (seen Chrissie Hammond sing it 3 times - WOW! )

    Sunset Boulevard:
Everything's as if we never said goodbye

    West Side Story:
    One Hand, One Heart
    Tonight (the full medley version)

    So so many!
