I think i read on there website you do not have to. As long as you have applied for means tested loans/grants, this information is passed to Imperial, and they will just put money into your account. I am interested in this aswell because it is £3300 p.a :woo:

So I seem to have got my funding and have applied for my room at the Big I. But I still havn't received any info on Bursaries, scholarships etc.

How do I know if I qualify? Do I need to apply? How do I go about getting the info

You automatically qualify if you receive the meanstested grant.

As long as you have ticked the box which allows your info from your application to be passed onto Imperial, then you will also get a bursary.

Also, a word of advice: don't call it the 'Big I' It's like calling Oxford the 'Big O'.

Does that apply for bursaries as well (as in the ones provided by specific departments) or do u apply for them seperately?

Ibelieve you apply for them separately. The sports scholarships you also apply for separately.

Home is EU btw ..
Uhm yeah I got rejected from my financial support. It gets run through Student Finance Services. They send you the stuff.

Worst case, contact them ... I don't think you should wait for Imperial to 'sort it out for you'. It's a load of money (at least someone should get it ... if not me)

I think it may depend on what course you're planning to study/ They have a bursary for ESE students, but I got an email first. Otherwise, contact them and ask.

No Home is not EU if home were EU then the distinction would not have existed. If Home were EU than all British scholarships would be available to EU students but this makes little sense since you have not paid tax here and hence can lay no claim to British tax payer money in the form of scholarships and grants.

You will find similar distinctions across the EU and the rest of Europe (for clarity; the EU consists of 27 nations, Europe consists of 47 - do not confuse the two).
