honestly - if i could re do everything, I would probably have applied for politics/history. That way, you've done something you enjoy and you can always do your conversion course if you want to do law in the future. It's hard to have done a law degree and then go back to uni to do history etc.

I would say go for it (although sps involves quite a bit of sociology which is a bit dry) Do you do it at AS? Oxford's equivalent course is PPE which is 1/3 philosophy and 1/3 economics (which is good if you like maths). PPE > SPS, in my opinion, simply because of the sociology aspect but I haven't seen the course and you may like sociology (it's probably great but i had a whole row of crap teachers for it).
really? i see
im sure you'll enjoy law though ;yes;
do yo uthink i should go for a non law degree then?

i've never studied sociology, but it's only 1/4th of the sps course (social anthropology, politics, sociology + psych)
and after the first year you specialise anyway so if it's dull i only have to put up with it for a short while
PPE i dont want to do cause i dont like philosophy and economics a-level is enough for me

i'm just worried about the competitveness of SPS

*If Rudrax agrees Sandhu will be proud*

And surely Law is more competitive?! Half the posters here aspire to do it for crying out loud! :p: I'm lead to believe every man and his dog applies for law these days. :ninja:

I should've had my pic up, then I could've gotten you to narrow it down. I'm waiting for my hair to grow back a bit :eek3:

Sort of, Vesta: I'm thinking Warwick, Imperial, Durham, Southampton and Nottingham. Toooo many members of my family are at/went to Oxford/Cambs so they're a no-no, naturally.

I'm thinking to do Biochemistry, or possibly straight Chemistry. Either way they're the best subjects, ever!
