What should i do/get my girlfriend for her birthday.....

Hey guys,

It's my girlfriends birthday next month and i want to get ideas on what to do for it. Presents, gifts, sweet things? any ideas? I dont just want to give her the card and a box of chocolates if you know what i mean...... Ideas will be appreciated.

buy flowers, candles, and chocolates and some girly music (enya, dido, or whatever) cover the room in flowers and candles and lie on the bed covered in chocolate ready for her to lick/eat off.

you could do what my boyfriend did and buy her a large carnivorous fish which grows to over 20 inches in lengh and in time will eat all the other fish in the tank and maybe have a go at her fingers, that always goes down well : )

or depending on how much you want to spend maybe jewelry, a nice top/ item of clothing, or even one of those giant personalised cookies

Reposting what I wrote in someone else's thread, where a similar question was asked.

Try and find a personal gift:

Something with significance but not necessarily serious. It doesn't even have to be anything spectacular or pricey... For example, one of my friends... her and her bf call each other piglet (for no apparent reason) and whenever we all meet up all we hear is piglet this & piglet that. Its sort of become an ongoing joke. Anyway, it was her birthday a few weeks ago, and my other friend and I found this lingerie set with little yellow pigs all over it... yellow happens to be friend nr.1's favourite colour. we got her that among a few other things and she LOVED it.

Do you sort of understand what type of present I'm talking about? Something that says "I pay attention & I know what sort of things you like". Just have a think about it. Trust me, they can be silly to other people, but to the one that counts... a "personal" present is worth more than any extravagant & expensive gift could ever be. Especially for girls.

Unless you know her inside out and exactly what clothes she'd buy, steer clear. It's always a bit of a dodgy area, unless it's lingerie. I swear, all the women/girls I know who's boyfriends/husbands buy them clothes they haven't asked for go hunting for the receipt the next day to take it back :sadnod:

yeah, that's what im thinking. Thinking to do a collage of places we've been, pictures of us and special dates of significance but it could be a bit cringe??

Make a scrap book of memories you have shared together, include photographs and old cinema tickets etc if you have kept them. If you can cook, make her a lovely dinner and a biiiiig bunch of flowers. Or buy a big box and fill it with things that she know she loves; some little things and perhaps one 'main' thing. Put some coloured tissue paper and sequins in the box as well so it makes it a bit more personal and so she has to delve in to find the presents. I like handmade presents that have had thought put into them.

Go into town with her and whenever she makes a beeline and ogles something in a shop window that she really wants (but doesn't need), buy it for her. Even if it's an ugly teapot or something.

Personally I'd be put off by things like flowers and chocolates. Unless they were novelty chocolates in the shape of a penis. Try not to be be too hopelessly romantic/slushy, it's actually kinda pathetic :rolleyes:
