Last week I had highly successful feedback on my FUNHOUSE thread, as people opened the vaults of their minds to rekindle the love of the programme.
However, funhouse came absolutely nowhere near the CITV show I will describe now, and I hope you feel the same. The show was called NIGHTMARE.
I had never been so emotionally fragile after watching any TV programme as a child, let alone a children's one at that. I can admit NIGHTMARE frightened the daylights out of me, and there were many reasons why:
The show was presented in an eerie dungeon, the host in full costume and chracter portrayed brilliantly by the actor.
The main game would involve one person wearing "the helmet" to explore the virtual dungeons, being persued by all sorts of demons, the green 2-d skeleton heads being my favourite. There was also the fact that your health was constantly running out, and also falling bridges could end the game instantly.
I would like people to share their experiences of Nightmare, I don't believe I was the only one truly terrified of the programme.
