Because their voice goes so high pitched. It's like torture, but I have a chance of being robbed.

Reply 3

Probably the accent, I don't find it too bad tbh.

Haha! That's brilliant!
I don't have all of them but the ones I have met come across as arrogant..and annoying!

Most scousers i meet come across as very arrogant (lads). However once you get to know them, they are "saawnd as lad".

Manc's, hmmmmm its about equal. I have met alot who are cool, but alot who are'nt.

Reply 6

The accent oh and the fact that the steal from their own football team while they are out playing :O

Reply 7

lol. Sometimes, it's because people believe in stereotypes and what other people have told them, rather then own experiences with Liverpool and/or scousers (note i wrote sometimes). They hold on to the idea that Liverpool are still the scummy working class they were a long time ago, but i've found since moving there, they hardly differ from other british people in regards to behaviour etc. Really, i hear people complain about the types of people from Manchester, Birmingham and London just as much as Liverpool.

Reply 8

Cos when they're not talking at you, they're burgling your house.

It's a proven fact.

Reply 9

I love most of them!

Reply 10

The accent is so bad when they call in on TalkSport or BBC Radio 5. Live They're so excited that I can't understand a word they're saying. I'm sure they're nice people, though.

I am a scouser and the majority of us don't have high pitched screechy voices.
Obviously I have a scouse accent, but it is not so pronounced as what you see on TV.

The whole stealing thing is a thing of the past and a load of rubbish. We're no worse than anyone else. See UK Crime Statistics and see where your most likely to be robbed, then please comment.

I do like a bit of banter about us being thieving bastards and what not, but those who are serious need to look at the facts.

Reply 12

It's because all they do is play football and steal cars

Reply 13

I'll quote Agent Smith: 'it's the smell!'

Reply 14

Probably because one tried to put a cigarette out in my eye.

And its the manchester - liverpool rivalry. Although one of my best mates now is from birkenhead. He says its the wirral but he still sounds scouse.

Reply 15

mancs are worse, especially the utd fans, which you could argue are from down south.

Reply 16

Because the majority of people still believe in the typical stereotypes of scousers. Yeah there can be a lot of people that fit this stereotype perfectly, but then again there is a lot of the same type of people everywhere except with a different accent.

:hat2: This is what us Liverpool folk are about - not the streoytype.

Lived in Liverpool my whole life, never been robbed (shocker). I love it here, love the people. I'm gonna miss it when I go away to uni, It's a great place. I'd also rather speak scouse than the Queen's english but thats each to their own innit. I don't get how you can't understand it, I can understand people from Scotland with the roughest accents.

I hat ehtier football team...but I dont hate scouser. I love the accent, this is comming from a mancunian. I love the city liverpool, the building and the architecture, it is a shame some of the buildings are getting destroyed which is not right...It felt weird at first, it was small I come from Manchester, and going to another city which is smaller hit me first, it was nice, looked nice, it was good. but Manchester is still better. lol
