I think im going to end up joining about 26 to start with  Too much choice!! I hope I have time to do a couple of societies tho but I've heard that LSE has an all-consuming work-load!!

Abt the catered accomodation thing, why wud we need cooking stuff if we have meals cooked for us?

If you get in late and don't want to fork out for a take away, or fancy some pasta or something. I can't go long without baking a cake of some sort too :p:

I'm agree on the joining a ton of socs; I'd rather join more, then cut down. I've heard that you really should join a sport, so yoga here I come :woo:

LSE Econ or Cambridge Econ for top place is the great debate :p:

Some people might prefer to cook their own stuff if they don't like the food prepared; also I think you are only given 1/2 meals, you will need a place to prepare the other 5/4

Don't forget hands and fingers. They come in handy when making sandwiches

It was definitely mid-June, check your Offer Pack!
Having finished my exams, anticipation of the information pack was the thing that was keeping me alive (until results day :/)!

Yeah imagine if they sent it the day after results day (and you didn't get in)...oh dear. :s-smilie:

I'm sure you'll be fine. I was really distraught for about a week after exams finished because I didn't think I did well enough but I'm just trying not to think about it now. Hopefully everything will work out.

I have been eagerly anticipating this too, although I also thought it was mid-July. I bet it's just information on registration and stuff though, which I've already read on the website!

They should at least send some emails or letters to make us feel loved. Right now I don't feel the love from LSE. :frown: I guess it's just a preparation for the reality of being an undergrad at LSE. :p:

Haha yeah definitely. Well, they do have that offer holders' newsletter thing, but there's only been two issues of it, and they were both very very similar!

 I have not received this newsletter? :s-smilie: Did you get it in the post?
Anyone else have this?

Typical LSE, not giving a **** about its students even before they have started uni. Cambridge Econ guys already have a booklist ....

To be honest I'd rather we don't receive anything if it's going to be a reading list.

Law people were advised not to read any books over the summer, but here are 3 books if you really really have to. I think those were the lecturer's exact words too :p:

Nah, there's a preliminary reading list for us in one of those newsletters.

That's not a proper book list, well not for econ anyway. It's the same 'preliminary reading' they recommended for applicants.
