Secrets
I'm not sure if H&R is the right place for this, so <3 feel free to move it to GC if you like. I found this during my TSR exile. 
It's basically a website where people send in postcards with a secret they have. Some of them are quite moving and others are funny and a few are really quite depressing. I think somehow it's a great idea and reading them makes me feel closer to other people if that makes sense...
Anyway, make of it what you will. Secrets.

That's quite unsettling actually. It makes you think about what secrets people close to you have - I don't like doing that.

i think its reassuring... you don't feel like you're the only one with secrets anymore....
I guess it's not really the secrets that bother me, but the hidden lies.
Some of them are really sadmedic_bex
but people don't lie for no reason... there's an underlying fear that causes people to lie...
That's what bother's me. It makes me think that people might be too afraid of me and hide things from me and I don't like that because the more I think about it the more I realise that it is probably true.

they're not afraid of you... they're afraid of the stigma you might attatch to them if you knew... not cos they think you're like that, but because social conditioning leads us to think that we shouldn't be like this...

that's what I mean in part. But it can be fear of anything, fear of hurting someone, fear of disappointment, fear of rejection, etc. It just makes you worry that the happiness you are experiencing is more superficial than you would like to believe.

that site is really good. and people dont not tell you their secrets because theyre afraid of you. sometimes its because theyre so bad you cant tell anyone. not even your best friend. because you know that they will think badly of you. or just because theyre to painful to tell.
