Possible Positions in a Hospital for an 18 y/old?

-clinic secretary (great opportunity to make friends with consultants - ideal for shadowing opportunities!),
-physio/occupational therapy assistant,
-receptionist,
-ward clerk is a good one (despite what some people here are saying),
-operating dept orderly,
-medical lab assistant (lab based, but get well in with the consultants and you can go watch post mortems, bone marrow aspirations, endoscopies, cytology/ breast screening clinics, cystic fibrosis sweat tests etc),
-porter
phlebotomist (bit boring though)
i cant think of any more, but there are loads of things you could do.
