DMU - Accomodation; Kingfisher Court (ASAP)

Hey there!!!

I'm planning on going to DMU, and I'm interested in Kingfisher Court.

However, there ain't no clear picture of the actual room.

So if there is anyone that currently goes there, will you be able to send me a picture of the rooms layout from different angles please?

Thanks in advance, and I need it ASAP!!!!

Also, advice is appreciated - on which Halls of Residence is good/not good.

Yes I have. Like I said, the site doesn't give a proper view of the room. unlike for the Grand Court, it doesn't have a panoramioc view. Or still images.

That's why I am requesting photos of it.
In that case I am unable to help you.

Just take note of this:
Taken from http://www.dmu.ac.uk/study/student_services/accommodation/

"We can recommend Kingfisher Court for postgraduate and mature students studying full-time courses."

If you want to party and socialise then the Kingfisher accommodation is definitely not for you.

Edit: Also I'd recommend checking the features of each of the sites they will all financially vary (Damage deposity, electricity bill payment, etc)

Aaah thanks for that. But it says postgraduate, does that still apply to undergraduate (me)?#
If so, then Kingfisher is definetly for me
I don't part, drink etc. So, it'll be ideal for me.

And yes, I'm aware of the facilities etc. I printed out the list of all the halls, and the payments, along with what they offer and don't offer. I'm also aware of the £200 for electric.

Thanks for that. But I'm still in need of photos :frown:
I've attended two of the many DMU open days and cannot clearly remember what the room looks like...but I'm satisfied with the description of the accommodation + the target audience (those who want to study).

I'm a prospect undergraduate student and my top priority is Kingfisher, in other words you can apply.

Kingfisher = the best out of all the available options in my opinion
1. The cheapest rent
2. Having your own phone line (subscribing to your own, independent ISP like O2, Be, etc)
3. It's designed for mature/postgraduate students.

I don't drink, party and all of the related activities as well

Here's the application page:

Let me know how it goes with your application, try and submit it ASAP!

Aaah I see. yeah, I find it the most best one as well. And plus its en suite .
Yeah, I've looked at it, and deciding to choose it. But the thing is, its my insurance right now, trying to get dismissed from my firm so DMU becomes my firm.

Oh you don't? That makes 2 of us  Hopefully, we'll get on quite well then hehehe :P

AAah yes, I did that yesterday. But it didn't give me the option to select the hall. Just if I wanted mixed, or single sex, and something else. Didn't see the option of the different halls to select. How does it work?

Also, it is self catered right?
Self catered that is correct, why would you want to be pampered by the university with food delivery and whatnot?

MrStick

Not a clue, but I'm personally not fussed about the gender, it'd be better staying in a mixed gendered dorm since you can meet a wider range of people
Who wants a sausage fest of a dorm?

I don't think they can place you in a specific hall since universities generally randomise the placements.
