What does "Position applied for" mean?

I'm thinking of applying a part time job at lidls and in the application form it says "Position applied for". What does it mean when it asks that? Is it asking whether you want to work part time? or Full time?

Sorry if this sounds like an obvious question.

Are you sure? Because when I was applying for a job at blockbusters, the application form gave me choices whether I want to work part time, full time, temporary, etc and I just had to tick one of them.

Put job title and then in brackets put (part time) or whatever. My god, as somebody else said, CAPTAIN OBVIOUS.

Are you even joking?

A section saying "Position Applied For" is definitely asking you which position you're applying for. I thought it was pretty much the least ambiguous thing ever.

As the helpful member posted above, it's just the title of the job vacancy. You might want to leave it blank for the moment, and then ask them about it, if you're not sure.

Position is position. If it wanted part-time/full-time it'd say that or hint at how many hours/similar that you want to work.

Position is 'store assistant', 'head chef', 'project manager'. As someone else said, it wouldn't hurt to put part-time or whatever in brackets if there is nowhere else on the form.

i suspect that the same application form is used for a load of different jobs i9n the supermarket - possibly even every job except the highest manager roles vs blockbusters where there's 2 jobs undervideomunkey and supervisoryvideomunkey

prior to NHS Jobs and it;s online application system, most NHS trusts had 2 types of job application form 'medical' and 'none medical' , the none medical form covered everything that wasn't a Doctor or Dentist job from 'person who collects the grass up after the mower has been round' to 'lord high overseer of the universe ' via every other job in the hospital not done by a Doctor or Dentist...

What happens if you just put in "part time"? Would they still accept the application even though you haven't specifically mention a job title?

No, because you haven't applied for a job.

Just put "69" and get it over with.

Put something like Store Assistant.

On my last application, i put Weekend/Evening Position, because that is how it was advertised.

Some people as in (16-18) may not know what “position applied for” mean... take it easy on them, but it’s full time or part time.❤️

Don't feel ashamed I asked the same question because it's an application you just have to make sure you're going to write down the correct thing if people make fun of you then they should make fun of me too
