One of my friends at Uni had her best friend visit her during term. She never left her alone, even with her boyfriend around. Some friends are just like that.

Tell her it annoys the hell out of you and if she doesn't back off then it may, in the long run, ruin your friendship.

Perhaps it's time you began to socialise with people in your age-group?
You legend (Y)

The only reasonable thing to do is actually talk to her, tell her you need space, etc.
She's your best friend, she'll understand. :yep:
Or you could try and help her find new friends and stuff?
She's probably just insecure, so that would help.

Wow she's a bit much.
Why don't you try talking to her about this?
If not just ignore all her attention-grabbing behaviour, I mean she can't sing for ever. Also maybe start hanging out with other friends and just not telling her and if she gets into a strop then thats her problem. After all you wouldn't want to be seen as a "couple" with your best friend and have people obliged to invite her because of you (or vice versa).

I don't mean in a stalker like way, but at school if I go to see a teacher, she will always come! I'm in the sixth form, and she even came to revision sessions with me with subjects she doesn't do. If I want to go and talk to someone else in one of my classes about work, she always tags along. I'm starting to think that everyone at school thinks we live in each others pockets because whenever they see me she is always there. Obviously I don't want to lose her because we do have a laugh and she's my friend, but she never gives me space!

She also gets jealous if I socialise with others. Last summer she was sending me texts about how worried she was that I was getting a new best friend just because I was going out with other people She doesn't seem to realise that I don't just want one friend? Also if we get together as a group of friends and I start talking to one of them, she will start singing really really loudly because she wants attention and doesn't like the fact that I'm having a conversation with someone else.

Sorry for this rant, it has been bothering me for ages. I don't know what to do
Bwahahahahahahaha! What a weirdo!

No, but seriously?

:indiff:

Unless you introduce her to others and bring her into conversations so she gets used to talking for herself and maybe gradually start to leave her with others when you go to the toilet, then to get a drink, then to talk to someone you spotted, then hopefully for a whole night. Gradual exposure.

Yeah, she's a bit weird. That said, I would kill to have my best friend around right now. I miss her loads and we always had epic nights together.

Bumping a 9-year-old thread isn't the place for that.

Thank you for bumping a 9 year old thread.

Stalking is when you go for long romantic walks, but only one of you knows about it.
