The Student Room Group
When i went to the open day, i did the thing where you go round the town on the bus and a current student just kind of tells you about the area.

But basically we passed loads of clubs and our guide was basically saying that theres ALWAYS a student night going on somewhere in town (a club for every night of the week etc)....Obviously i cant remember the names

Sorry i couldnt help out more
Moon in the square is a good place to start an evening, lava ignite is alright too. Going to the casino is very good for afterwards.

These are the student nights I go to a lot - usually free or cheap entry and drink deals...

Moday: V
Tuesday: BarMe
Wednesday: lava ignite
Thursday: Toko/Bliss
Friday: The old firestation (for lollipop, sells out every week!)

Obv there are others but these are my faves

I should also add, prices go up (nearly by double) at the weekends, so best to avoid them!

Not really into my r n b or dance really, more into going to clubs that play cheese and a variety of songs everybody knows ha. I don't think bliss would be my kind of place by the sounds of it.

If you go for the offers on drinks you can get VKs for £1.50 or at the firestation they do 3 for £5 occasionally. Other places do £1.50 on everything, including all the spirits/lager/beer...

Firestation plays cheese in the main room most of the time. Lava ignite has a dedicated cheese room - which is a personal fave  Other places tend to play chart music a lot, can't think of other dedicated cheese places atm but I'm sure you'll find them when you're out and about!

Is there anything for Metalheads or people into Rock in Bournemouth for nights out? I don't mind other music, but Metal is definetly my preferred genre.
Oh and is there a Rock Soc? Or something at the uni?

There is a club called sound circus. Its not all metal it plays a mixture of music. Its a good place to go I've been a few times. On saturday and thursdays its free entry till 9:45, and about £1.50 for most drinks. They have a lot of theme nights so its a good excuse to dress up!!

They have a facebook group if you want to have a look at the events and pictures of random nights. http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/group.php?gid=18483985667&ref=ts
