Which is the busiest night of the week...?

Hi!

I'm doing some research and I was wondering if anyone could tell me which, in your experience, is the busiest night of the week in terms of socialising aside from Fridays and Saturdays (which I assume are the busiest)? I.e., which nights do you perceive the clubs and bars you go to to be busiest, aside from the two aformentioned nights. I heard someone say on the radio once that 'Mondays are the new Fridays' or words to that effect.

Any thoughts?

I've gone for Wednesdays, as that's the busiest night apart from the two you mentionned here in Aber as that's when the sports clubs mostly have their socials, meaning they're all put in town in pubs and clubs.

In Exeter, wed do tend to be busy as its sports nights but that means that a lot of us avoid town because of it! I would say monday, as everyone tends to do their own things on the weekend and its when everyone gets back together and catches up!

Thursday.. Mostly because we hardly have any lectures on friday and so who cares if we come in in a decent state.

My friends and I went out in Exeter a few Saturday nights ago - we ended up going to Warehouse which was really cool. We were told to stay away from Arena because its full of townies on a Saturday night! Have you ever been to Timepiece? And generally...which days do people tend to go to which clubs?

In Manchester its Thursday without a doubt. I love Thursdays everywhere is busy and lively but not packed, you don't get any of the drunks you get on saturdays.

Sadly its very rarely I get to out during the week.

I work in a bar and it's definately Thursday nights or Tuesdays if there's a football game on. Hope that helped :smile:

Wednesdays (sports night), though because there are usually just a few lectures on wed morning, tuesday evenings can be nuts...and also, sometimes after a mad wednesday evening, you can't wait till friday, so you do it all again on thursday too...

i'm not at uni yet but having been to stay with lots of friends and my boyfriend friday and saturday aern't the busiest nights at all - everything is too expensive for students then! i'd say monday or thursday probably.
