Hey! I have a life! I think... somewhere.. maybe.. Just not at home..
Besides, I have an excuse in that I am catching up on recent music developments and looking up law firms/chambers and considering applying... but then realising that there's no point..

The mind boggles...

Aw.. Well yeh I wasn't being serious. My perpetually annoying college brother moved into my house for some of this summer and the first thing he asked was how I was going to cope with the boredom being in Cambridge by myself for the entire summer (in a derogatory fashion)
I couldn't be bothered to explain exactly how busy I am *grr* Ah well.

And yeh its the same - I really need to be writing dissertation/applying for MPhil/choosing papers for next year/choosing rooms for next year etc, and instead I'm procrastinating as usual :p:
graaaah why isn't it winter yet?

Totally with you on that one.
Only wishing that I'd arranged my South Africa trip for now instead of September so I could take advantage of their cold weather!

Btw, I'm into Part II now, so making progress.

Can a kind soul on a university network download a PM for me? I'm journal-less til October :frown:

It's going to get about 7 degrees colder next week, according to weather.com. So that's good. Even better, I'm going oop nerth for two weeks, which will allegedly knock off another 4-6 so it might even be chilly at times! I'm possibly more excited about that than the fact I'm going away.

Until you'd said that, I'd forgotten there were parts (I thought you were referring to your Tripos). It's been a while since I've read it/anything.

7 degrees? That might return us to the region of 'manageable'. And sorry, yeh, that was a risk of mentioning 'Part II' here.

Where are you going and for what purpose? :p:

Well that's what the prediction is - I can't be held responsible if it's wrong :p: Tomorrow is still hot though. Bleh.

Ambleside. It's work related and I don't get much time off to enjoy the hilliness (but I get some). I'm going to Keswick in August anyway for an actual holiday, so it's not the end of the world.

I intend to get up early (ha!) and sit in the library until late afternoon. That should protect me from the worst.

EDIT: Oh damn its a Saturday :hmpf: Damn holidays :hmpf: :hmpf:

What, in engineering? There can't be that many of you :lolwut:

There are indeed 11 of us :p:

Good day today, but I still have a bit of a cold. I have no idea what to do over the next week or so though.

I've been skimming through this thread and I'm just about to read the Ethnography... I'm oddly excited...

By the time you make it through 'Abstract, Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology' the excitement will probably have worn off. At least the Results won't disappoint at that stage

That's terrible. You'll have to fight for custody. Have a good holiday!

By luck (if 'getting off my arse and going into town' counts as luck) I've discovered that a band I quite like is playing at the union tonight. I was going to post moaning that since I'm going on my own (wum :frown:) I'll have to judge what time to arrive to avoid standing around awkwardly for ages but because the band are sensible, they've put the time they're actually playing on their website! I heartily approve.

Now all I have to do is design and implement a cooling system before the sun comes round the corner and roasts me all afternoon.

i went to this club last night. very expensive. but incredible. very exclusive (well, me and my coworkers walked straight in, whilst the 'common' folk were being turned away in their droves).

being a banker it seems has its plus points.
