I guess April and May are names that work without people immediately thinking of the months.

June? Actually I've heard of January as a girl's name too.

Hmm, I think June is the last of the "traditional" ones.
September is a relatively acceptable girls' name these days. It's still a bit odd though.
Where could I get an academic diary? (I realize there will be somewhere, but it's not something I've ever actually bought, so don't know what sort of place is likely to stock it. A book store?)

One of my friends had a bit of a mission tracking down an 09/10 diary, but eventually found one in waterstones. If you have a bike/are willing to walk a bit further, staples will probably have lots.

WHSmith is where I got mine from. It was £6.99 as I went for a page to a day one but it was worth it as it has beautiful paper and quotes on the bottom of every page

everyone going to the freshers fair save me some free stuff as I can't go due to being stuck in my room :frown:

Ryman's, WH Smith's, Waterstone's, Heffer's?
Thanks, folks. I'll have a look in Waterstone's and WHSmith, although I'll be happy if I can find one less than £6.99!

I'm shattered, and haven't done anything (other than matriculate) today - and I'm not missing out on sleep, either.

Are you ill? I think the fair runs tomorrow as well, because that's when it's scheduled in our timetable, so you might feel better then?

Yup I've got a cold :frown: It's timetabled for us today but I'm free tomorrow so if I feel better I'll go :woo:

Does anyone know if a bus goes near the site? Is it in the city basically...

It's in Kelsey Kerridge Sports Centre on Gonville Place, which is a bit south along the road from Sainsbury's. According to Google Maps, you should be able to catch the (Citi?) 1, get off at Downing and walk a little (to 'B' on the map).

That's really cool - I didn't know Google Maps did public transport!

Probably a bit late with this, but I saw the roulette wheel Derren Brown last night, and was very impressed. More than made up for the lottery disappointment.

You probably don't want to go at around this time though - I just biked back from there and the traffic was atrocious.

Apparently the doors are only open between 10 and 3, anyway.

So much for my plan o heading home at 11... I got guilt tripped into examining patients this morning and afternoon, and have just got home. Until today, I thought I was OKish at recognising some of the 'easier' murmurs, but it seems that I am actually fecking useless.

Ah well, back home and am looking forward to cooking some dinner tonight. I've got the limes and coriander...!

Possibly. I think it was first on last friday and repeated last night, so it's probably still up.

Hopefully they'll decide it's cold enough by the end of the week

Check your pidge tomorrow ;

Hope you feel better soon :hugs: I'm currently using the "wear dressing gown in bed and put two blankets on top of the quilt" method.

:excited:
