Chewwy
i went to this club last night. very expensive. but incredible. very exclusive (well, me and my coworkers walked straight in, whilst the 'common' folk were being turned away in their droves).

being a banker it seems has its plus points.

Congrats, who are you interning with?

Does anyone in cambridge fancy having dinner with me tonight in town? I need to blow off steam.

were i to have been trading miss east anglia 2009, the bikini round would've seen me taking a position to exploit a widening of spreads between 6 and 5. to put it one way.

in other news, just moved across town to my new place. somewhat of a step down. just been out for a really good meal though - the spending relentlessly continues.

I was in Waterbeach, so didn't read this on time. Sorry.
I'm around in general though

stuff:

one of the huge perks of what i'm doing this summer is that I have Bloomberg Anywhere. this is cool for two reasons:

i) i have a b-unit. if you don't know what one is, read this http://www.notcot.com/archives/2006/04/bunit.php . the geek in me finds it unbelievably cool.

ii) (the more obvious one) i have access to, like, the most comprehensive and alive source of data in the world on my laptop, wherever i may take it.

Holiday was very good, just the right mix of sight-seeing and relaxing on the beach or by the pool.

I've just impulsively accepted a last minute offer of a spare Marxism 2009 ticket. So looks like I'll be schlepping into London tomorrow :s-smilie: This means waking up early :shifty:

*tries to hastily become sleepy*

Hey guys - I'm checking in from rural Germany (where I seem to spend a disconcertingly large percentage of my time...). This Summer school thing I'm doing is pretty much awesome, we're just a big bunch of students hanging out in a country with very cheap beer

Awesome :p: . Where exactly are you? (Since you're not complaining about massive thunderstorms and floods, I take it it's neither western nor southern Germany?)

narrowboating in Birmingham

Lucky you! Say hi to Engine Arm (where we bought our boat) and Caggy's Yard (where we blacked the hull) for us! Its an amazing place to explore by boat. More miles of canal then Venice!

Oh no, the weather's great here - hot just to the point of being too hot in the day, & warm until the early morning (which is usually when we stop the drinking games...). I'm about an hour NW of Berlin, in Sachsen-Anhalt.

Now I have to go grill some bratwurst & drink some beer
