We'll have to do it again-in Homerton :yep:

I have a cold, and I got on the rugby pitch for like 3 mins before getting an arm to the throat a kick to the head which was followed by an asthma attack, funzies. But we won

You're going to have to make one this year. I'm still waiting for small universes to collide.

You're right there, of course. Things should be 'back to normal' after tomorrow, if normal is the correct term.

Yeah, sorry I missed the meet. Sort of forgot it was today...:/

I think the group consensus was Emma Formal.
the industrial revolution is so, so, so dry.
Nice meeting you all today  Emma formal sometime would be great!
Didn't make the meet because I was too ill to consider working yesterday and consequently had a pile for today. :frown: Maybe next time.

It sure is; which question are you doing - "was there an industrial revolution in the light of new quantitative evidence"?

I'm currently working on the properties of estimators for Econometrics - fun stuff.
Thanks for the meet, guys, I really enjoyed it (especially ukebert's campanology lecture :p:). I apologise for the bad puns, though...

^ Ditto - sorry for not having time to talk to everyone, etc. Basically my gf had arranged a meet-up but wasn't answering her phone, thus causing everyone to call me as her 'back-up' :/

I also resolve to (try to) post more.... & back to essay!

Grr, I missed you... Ah well.

Sorry I could only stay for about half an hour

Ah, another TSRer I missed...

I did the Industrial Revolution last Michaelmas. It's bad enough doing it as a historian, I'd hate to do it as an economist...
I've been spewing odd facts about anything and everything we talked about now since I got back to college. I think this is probably down to you guys

Some guy I met from Johns punched me when I said I went to a TSR meet.

He was clearly right to do so. Don't you know the first rule of TSR meets? (obscure - well, maybe not so obscure - movie reference inside)

In all seriousness though, what a strange thing to do. If he had really needed to voice his disapproval, he could have done it verbally...

Same for me. :frown:

Is it normal for your supervisor to set you questions you aren't able to answer? :s-smilie:

Depends on the supervisor whether it's normal, but it happens.

From my experience (maths), there are at least one or two questions on every sheet that the vast majority won't be able to answer. Don't know about computer science though.

:ditto: Same, sorry :frown: Plus I had immense amounts of work to do so didn't really have the time to spare. Will deffo be at the next one though (especially if someone kindly reminds us in this thread 24hrs before it's on! :p:)

It's not the CompSci example sheet I'm doing, it's the NST Maths B one. The questions we've been set either are not in the lecture notes at all or we haven't covered yet.

Which question, out of curiosity?
