Cool. Will see if anyone else responds and come up with a time after work tomorrow.

Can it please be before rather than after? I have to babysit for a Fellow at 5:30 which means leaving town centre at 5. Its still doable, but I'd prefer not to rush.
It could be lupus
I am the same with the clothes horse. Means a laundry card lasts you for 5 washes instead of much less with having to dry things in the driers.

I just put my dirty clothes into a bag in the laundry room and when i collect it it's all washed, dried and folded :yep:

I hate city colleges with people who do laundry for you :|

Apparently Corpus make their beds for them too.
I assure you Peterhouse does away with such indulgencies :p:

Ugh :sigh: I feel so bloody sick :banghead:

Ours don't - I think it's quite uncommon.

Our bedders do as little as they can get away with. Literally... they empty the bins, replace toilet rolls, mop the kitchen and bathroom floors fairly frequently, and vacuum our rooms once a term and then surreptitiously forget to do so again... They most certainly do not deign to wash dishes or clean kitchen surfaces.

Luckily this year's bedder has taken to storing the vacuum cleaner on the landing rather than locked away out of our dangerous reach in a cupboard somewhere, so I might actually have the means with which to tidy things up once they get annoying

Yeah, but only once a week (at my college at least) when they change your bed. Certainly not every day!

In the kitchens here they tend to leave an angry note telling people to clean the dishes / surfaces if they're really filthy, or occassionally do it themselves if they're in a good mood.

Are yours supposed to wash dishes?
I'm pretty certain ours weren't...

I have no idea, but I think they should at least wipe the surfaces (which they sometimes do, admittedly) It really doesn't take any time at all. I know, cos I'm constantly doing it.

I also thought making beds was the norm... >.< an obviously unnecessary norm but a norm nonetheless

I hope you're feeling better soon. My fresher's flu is almost away, after about 5 days if that gives you any hope for the future.

They do indeed.

Here at a progressive college, we learn the harsh realities of life without being mollycuddled by the bourgois establishment

You can take our bourgeoisie molly coddling for the most part! They seem to interfere at all the wrong times and neglect when they should act :sigh:

Ugh. I hope it gets better before then. It started yesterday and got significantly worse today. I don't mind if it just gets slightly better and then some residual symptoms remain for a few days; that way I could conceivably work. But today I was forced to lie down and any attempt to read, and even draft an email to my supervisor, proved useless. Thanks though. I know I'm banging on about it enough!

 Thanks for posting that; I've just had my first 'late' night of work and it cheered me up a bit. :yep:
woo! dissertation project proposal in! now the slog for the early morning supervisor meeting. :frown:

Your bedders change your bed for you?

I was given a bed, no pillow, no duvet, no sheets or anything. It is my responsibility to ensure that I have somewhere vaguely hygienic to sleep :p:

And do you have a pillow yet?

Eugh. Unwell enough so that I feel terrible and don't wish to do any work, not unwell enough to be physically prevented from doing work, i.e. guilt time :o: Ceilidh Band made me feel better though.

And I bought a £4 pillow pack from Sainsbury's :p:
