Eugh. Unwell enough so that I feel terrible and don't wish to do any work, not unwell enough to be physically prevented from doing work, i.e. guilt time Ceilidh Band made me feel better though.
And I bought a £4 pillow pack from Sainsbury's
What's a pillow pack? I didn't know Sainsburys sold anything like that... Poor you. Today I was actually physically too ill to work I really hope that changes soon.
I think I've had my first time management fail in Cambridge. Went to Ceilidh Band , left at the reasonable time of 00:15 , fell asleep, fell asleep again after my 7am alarm, now have an hour to do a translation where I can't even understand source text. Last night was so so good though.

As I'm sure I've mentioned before, my college doesn't even have bedders We even have to empty the bins ourselves*
*it's almost like living outside the bubble... :P

slabo moe imja rasshifrovat' numberrrrr. I'm thinking maybe technofail/spam, but I really am not sure. Time for a Real Russianist. ho hum.
Well, interestingly (I say that, you might already know this/not really care), the english translation of that is: To decifer my name roughly [number hash]... technofail it is!
I'm insanely jealous of your bedmaking, laundry-doing colleges. Our cleaners are really nice, and they do a thorough job once a week, but laundry costs a lot. £1.20 for a wash and 50p for 24 minutes drying. I spent something like 4 quid yesterday. Meh.
Although I did work out all my finances and got a rather nice surprise when I calculated my budget, so it's all good.
Anyway, better get back to Geographies of Globalisation. Fun fun fun. Can't wait till we start learning more about giant ice blocks and exploding fire rocks.
Our bedders do as little as they can get away with. Literally... they empty the bins, replace toilet rolls, mop the kitchen and bathroom floors fairly frequently, and vacuum our rooms once a term and then surreptitiously forget to do so again... They most certainly do not deign to wash dishes or clean kitchen surfaces.
Luckily this year's bedder has taken to storing the vacuum cleaner on the landing rather than locked away out of our dangerous reach in a cupboard somewhere, so I might actually have the means with which to tidy things up once they get annoying
Mine doesn't even give me a toilet roll once a week as she saw I'd got my own
Well, you'd think so, but having compared room rents with people ours seem to be substantially cheaper in a lot of cases... So I think it's just Emma being rich and throwing money/wonderful things at us as is usually the case. I'm too far away from college to bother taking my laundry all the way there now though - I have to actually use a washing machine this year Badtimes.
A lot of my friends at home tell me how cossetted I am at Cambridge, because I don't do my laundry, cook my meals, pay utilities, have a job, find a place to live, blah, and then I remind them that next year I'm going to have to do all those things in Russia...
Any of the people who actually remember me free on Saturday? I'm coming up for a 65th birthday party (rock on!) so if people want to meet before/after for tea and cake somewhere, that might be nice...
Autumn Head (in which i am rowing and James is coxing two divisions) will take up most of our day. We'll be around late afternoon though. Probably not available before the party alas, but after could work. You saw us very recently though, so we won't be offended if you meet before.
Ditto, I was just feeling so ill last night and this morning, couldn't force myself to get up. I'm awake now though, tidying my room and 'crasting about catching up on the Physiology notes...

Don't use the drier - they never manage to dry your clothes in one cycle! I just leave it out in my room for a day and it's fine.
