But that sounds like one of the most interesting courses! :p:

Oh its interesting indeed, just I've never done Biology so now that we're on real topics I should be spending my spare time doing background reading and making sure I keep on top of the work, but instead I'm doing anything but.

It was you that said your grandfather (or someone) was a Caius master, right? I'm still trying to work out which picture he is.

What's your subject again?

Maths!
So not having a supervision yet does seem a bit odd!
It could be lupus
 I haven't signed up for this terms game yet. Don't know if I will. If you come to my room they won't expect it, and I will accompany you home sure. Try and spread the word to all TSR freshers to see if they are all available

Yeah I dunno if I'm signing up this term either, I'll probably leave it til Wednesday and decide then if I still think I have enough free time.

 I would say saturday night except that I have my matric dinner on saturday so cant do then. Im guessing friday isn't too suitable for you then?
I have Fusion on Friday nights, but I wasn't actually trying to hint that you should rearrange on my behalf or anything. I'm a bit of an odd one in that I don't really like films, and I don't really drink. I probably might have popped round for the good company if I were free though :hubba: I was just surprised at your Friday-policy.

...it is always pretty busy on weekends which is a good thing, not sure why people are suggesting otherwise.

When I go out, I want to spend time with my friends. If all the venues are packed out its often so noisy and crowded that its hard to carry out a conversation. If I felt like spending several hours of my time being pushed and shoved about with no substantive communication occuring, I could just as easily walk onto the middle of King's Parade and stand still :p: Also there are generally no tables free to sit at, and you have to hang around at 30mins at the bar before you get served

Fair enough. Bio was my area, hence being predisposed to prefer courses like that.

Heheh. Its Peter Gray. He's actually my step-grandfather, as my grandmother married him after my natural grandfather died in '03

Heheh yes. I suppose we're more self-guided with Arts subjects, but in SPS its not really that we don't have frequent supervisions, its just that the course directors take ages at the start of term and then the supervisions all bunch up into the second two thirds :shifty:

I will arrange another night, most likely on a Saturday and invite you to it. Its a friday due to the fact I have matric dinner on saturday, otherwise it would be on either. What nights generallt suit you?

Maybe drinking half a bottle of Jd wasnt such a good idea when I need to write an essay for tomorrow? :p:

Sorry I added something to the post without rereading it - I know not everyone would agree that it being busy is a good thing; the 'not sure why people are saying otherwise' was in response to people saying no-one was out on weekends

Heheh, thanks. Ironically Friday nights are the only evenings I regularly can't do. I'm a bendy-flexy Arts student for the rest of the time, although once the essays hit, I may disappear under a pile of books for a few weeks :erm:

Does anybody know where I can scan some photos? I don't think Peterhouse has a scanner. Although I probably ought to check that given as I've never had need of one before.

I've already had a supervision on DEs about 3 DE lectures into the course. So of course, after I handed my work in and we went over it in the supervision, we then promptly covered everything that I'd gone through in the supervision in lectures.

Isn't it usually the other way round?
My first supervision today :woo:

and I have a sore throat and can't talk very well. Should be fun.
I have my first supervision today as well.

And I would give an awful lot of money not to have a 9am today.

I have a 9.15  it's only across the lawn but it's still too early
I have what is technically my first supervision but is actually my second today - my partner cancelled last week, so she gave me a quick half an hour of ironing out some of my problems, and we're starting the supervising properly today. Problem is, I've done no more reading since last week and feel absolutely dead still, so will have very little to contribute...

I'm guessing Peterhouse will have a scanner in the computer room, failing that I have one in my room.

PS: On supervisions, I have one today, one tomorrow and one Wednesday. :sigh:
I have two today and two on Wednesday. On the upside, this means that my Tuesdays consist of a single lecture (albeit at 9AM ).
I am sans supervision (discounting dissertation supervisions/occasional meetings/conversations in corridors) so far. I very much need a reason to work more thoroughly than I am at present ... for the last two nights I've been up until roughly 4 am reading, yet nothing strictly academic.
I have had no supervisions as of yet, but I do have three on Wednesday :frown:

Today I'm locking myself in my room and writing this essay. :\
I have two supervisions on Tuesday and another on Thursday (during dinner time :frown: ) I've also got one on a Saturday afternoon which ruins everything completely

Oh, I'm going to suffer similarly.
3 of my courses this term have supervisions set up, the other two, I know one of the supervisors, but don't have anything set up yet, and the other one..I've been told who they are, but I think they're out of the country currently..end of term is gonna be baad!

Um, tbh, I found for DE, it was somewhat like this, although my supervisor did it that we only needed to hand in about the first half of the example sheet(along with the latter half of the previous one), which worked as nicely as anything.
College now seem to be eschewing the normal fines for punishments and are instead punishing naughty students by making them clean moss off of the cobbles in Old Court with a trowel. Apparently, it's an 'illegal' punishment. Not sure what to make of it really - I've seen two people doing it today, one for holding a party in his room without permission and the other for setting off a fire extinguisher. Hmmm. :s-smilie:
