I didn't think you looked noticeably under the weather

I can't be bother to work tonight (despite the fact that I really need to) so I'll be having an iplayer marathon

Neither did I... Perhaps I've improved from this morning  Or perhaps I've looked ill every time you've seen me :p:
I have a really sore throat :frown:

Anyone a member of the Union Society? I wasn't going to join, but they've got some decent events coming up, and lots of my friends seem to be members. The reduced membership fee of £70 is also appealing.

*pokes head in*

Reduced membership? How do you get that? :p:

You have to be eligible for the full maintenance grant.

I think as long as you can prove your finance came through late they're letting you have it.

Ahhh ok. Thanks

Oh, how long is that lasting? I was going to join for the debating, but my finance hasn't come through yet, so I can't really splurge on anything unless I want to be unable to eat for the latter half of term.

That's for life membership, although you have to be on the full government maintenance grant to get the reduced fee. Otherwise, it's £70 for a year and £140 for life I think...

Strange question: does anybody have any creative ideas about what to do with lentils? Only I've ended up with tonnes of the stuff - not literally, but almost - and I may get bored of doing my usual thing to them each time...
(Long story short: the Bangladeshi owner of a shop on Mill Road was so overjoyed to discover my loose connection to a village loosely connected to a village to which he was loosely connected that he decided to give me a ton of free lentils, not to mention some chick peas and prayer beads thrown in for good measure; only people from the subcontinent will understand why this makes any sense)

daal. or lentil soup. which shop was it?
Bah. I'm already emailing a supervisor to apologise for not having the work ready (there would be too little time even if I got every question right first time). Time management fail. :frown:

Downside of having a large room this year: The radiator is the same size as last year's, which means that it's enough to keep the room from freezing, but not enough to actually keep it warm (at least not with those 1960s windows that basically provide no isolation at all).

I'm a member of the union, in fact I just came back from watching Jo Brand there earlier tonight. I've also been to a talk and book signing by Eoin Colfer, a pub quiz, and a debate already this term. So it's definitely been worth it so far.

PS on time management fails: I went to choir rehearsal after going to the Union tonight, despite having a Maths assignment due in tomorrow morning which I haven't even done half of. This could be another long night. :s-smilie:

I'm screwing up my final year. WHY does it take me so long to do one piece of work?! SOOOOOOOOOO stressed right now. When's the end of term? :frown:

In my lecture today the lecturer told me I looked like I should be in bed.

And then in my supervision my supervisor said that I was looking 'opaque'.

And I thought I was so much better today! :frown:

Ahh, I thought that was you! It was a little bit unnecessary of her, I thought :s-smilie:

maths assignment beats history assignment! (do i moan about this too much?)

Physics. I completely misjudged the time it would take to do the work set by each supervisor, forgot that I now have 4 rather than 2 supervisions, and consequently started too late to get the work done in time for all of them. Hence why I've spent the last 3 days working solidly, and actually forgot to eat any meals yesterday. Easily avoided (if I can avoid getting bogged down) for next week, but stupid nonetheless.

You'll get the technique for it eventually - by the end of Lent Term I managed to do a History assignment (with 'reading') in around 2 hours.

Don't worry, I take an absolute age to do my work too  By this I mean that when I do actually sit in a library and apply myself I seem to get everything done far more slowly than other people do :s-smilie:
