.....?

unless you're on about something really specific here, the general term for the way cambridge/oxford/durham/some others I don't know are organised is 'collegiate system'.

Ah, but I didn't play that match.

Stratocaster
Geordie slang for food.
EDIT: Although looking at urban dictionary, it comes from the Royal Navy...

Cool, that's something I learnt today at least.

Sakujo
Is it college system, College system or College System?

I would go for "college system", though I could see why you might think it was "College system", and I think it definitely isn't "College System".

I knew someone did, but I forget which college you're at?
It could be lupus
The lectures are so pointless. I don't know how you are meant to take notes during them. How did you manage to "learn" for it?

played noughts-and-crosses, hangman and "squares" through the lectures then crammed from the powerpoints and podcasts in the week before the exam and regurgitated a load of **** in the exam :p:
but i think he's changed the format with more patients into the lectures

p.s. crosswords and other lecture notes are other good ways of passing schi lecture time :ninja:

How do I go about finding out my/getting a new PWF password (the one which you use to log onto university/college computers)? I've lost the paper that I wrote mine on, and college's IT manager didn't bother to email me back

Go to the computing service reception with identification, according to this: http://www.cam.ac.uk/cs/pwf/security/password.html

It's in the new museums site, up the stairs behind the long row of bike racks.

There's a chance that I'll recognise you from Simba's use of your username in facebook status discussions, but my ability to recognise people is atrocious.

I did 2* and 3*, but my printer died after printing 3 and I didn't have time to go down to the computer room in time to be back for my physics supervision in 10 minutes. I think I'll hand 2*, 3*, 4 and 4* in next week with a note saying "pretty please?"

Isn't ticking supposed to be two-weekly?
Had my first supervision and it wasn't too bad  It could have been atrocious, but thankfully my new materials supervisor (a female ) is a good one, so all was well.

I'm dreading my one tomorrow though, as I haven't done much of the work. It'll be a late-ish night tonight and a decent cram tomorrow afternoon methinks.

I have done all the preparatory work for my supervision tomorrow :ninja:

I'd be impressed if you did, my fb picture until recently was me, downing a pitcher of pimms, with my face obscured by said picture:p:
My dissertation just disemboweled itself.

There's some password reset request via camtools/Raven (I think), and they leave a letter in your pigeonhole with your new passwords. I managed to forget my Hermes password within a day of changing it to something "memorable"...
My essay was really crap...:sigh: At least this week's topic is...slightly better.

 I barely did all the work for my Chemistry practical today!
But my real rason to quote you: are you going to London on Monday?
I think it is time for me to finally post in this thread. I am a terrible, terrible lurker and have been, on and off, since I first considered applying to Cambridge way back in 2007. I'm now a geography fresher at King's. Munro90 added me on facebook this morning and I too have just completed my first biodiversity essay. It was painful. I thought I should attempt to join in the spraff. So yeah... hello everyone! (you can probably guess my name :P).

I dunno... it sped along so fast and I'm not very good at getting round to posting much unless I'm procrastinating. I'm procrastinating a lot more now :P>
