It seems that there's a free copy of The Private Eye in today's TCS.

I wonder how large the part of the TCS' editors' souls were sold to Private Eye to broker the deal.

Nah, f*cuking delivery driver didn't drop it off, despite that very same day me answering the door to him and giving him directions to my neighbour's so he could deliver another package there! Asshole.

Sh_ittylink living up to their dire reputation as usual.

Though I'm also waiting on an SSD in the post before I would install.
If anyone's interested and not watching it, the BNP Question Time's streaming on the website.

Yeah, but you have to deal with Trinitarians.

And what is that meant to mean? Us Trinitarians are very good people. You are almost making it out as if I am from John's. In that case you would have a point

Agreed, we Trinitarians aren't so bad!

Hmmm, NI as well? Interesting... where abouts are you from?

Anyone going to the Union Soc tonight for the comedy debate with Footlights/Revue?

I just came back from it (and Evan Davis before that) - both were very good. :yep:

I'm watching it now - it's surprisingly tame so far.

The special regulations for the degrees and other consequential amendments to regulations will come into effect from 1 October 2010

I suppose that this means that people doing Part III this year won't get it? Or can they possibly delay their graduation till next October to get a MASt?

Yeah, I need to find the time and money to get a new mobo and/or RAM before going ahead with the install. My mobo won't boot with sticks in two of its slots at the moment... :/

Randalstown, near Antrim town. I am guessing you are not a fresher, as I have only met one other NI person at Trinity who is a fresher?

You're right, I'm not a fresher. I was one in 2002 (yup, *that* long ago :p: ) and am now back to do an MPhil so I guess I'm a graduate fresher.

In my experience, there's usually about 1-3 people from NI in each year at Trinity. If you want to meet lots of NI people, you'd just have to go and hang around outside Corpus!

Our telly room was PACKED. I particularly enjoyed the image of 'millitant homosexuals' roaming the streets with AK47s, forcing primary school children to be gay.

How do you preach homosexuality?

I so wish I was back living in King's watching that. It would've been good fun.

The No Platform Policy debates at our Open Meeting back in 2008 were immense.

Didn't we all.

Do we have any Downians* hanging their head in shame?

*I don't care if that's not a real term, it is now.

Yeah that seems to be the case. I know, Corpus is full of people from NI! There is seems to be a surprising number of Irish about the place anyways

I do it all the time.

Seeing as we're on the subject, Nick Griffin was in fact right about one thing, namely Churchill. Churchill was just as much a racist ****.

But he wasn't as far from the mainline view of his time, and he was correct and charismatic enough in other respects to 'justify' what is now thoughtless prejudice.

Churchill's name doesn't deserve to be sullied by association with the BNP, that is where Griffin is very very wrong.
